crossy2

Crossy Road is very addictive. You may not want to play it. But if you do or you ever have, here are few life lessons you may appreciate from the game:

  • Life is risky but you still have to keep moving forward.
  • There’s no perfect time to take the next step. You just have to have the courage to do it.
  • When there are things in front of you that you have to deal with, running around like a chicken doesn’t help. You’ll just get eaten by a chicken hawk.
  • There is always a way forward, but sometimes that way involves taking a step backwards before you can go forward again.
  • If you spend too much time worrying about what’s down the road, you’ll end up getting killed anyway. Just worry about what’s right in front of you and keep moving one lane at a time. Looking 10 lanes ahead is futile.
  • Big trains come whenever they want to, all you can do is get out of the way. Life is full of big trains and you can’t control them.
  • Life isn’t so much about timing as it is about being in the right place at the right time.
  • Some peoples’ courses through life are easier than yours, but you can only play the course you’ve been given. Deal with it and don’t mope and complain about it.
  • Hesitation of jumping in due to fear of getting hurt will kill you just as often and just as fast as running headlong through the traffic jam.
  • When you look back and find yourself in the wrong place, it’s often because you chased after some gold coins lying on the ground that you didn’t even need. Keep your eye on the real prize.
  • We all have to cross the road one lane at a time, not five lanes at a time. Life is too short to wait for the perfect opportunity to get everything you want with no risk.
  • By the time you know the chicken hawk is coming, it’s too late.
  • Getting hit by a small car kills you just as much is getting hit by big car (that is, small problems and big problems are both problems).
  • When you cross a difficult river, make sure you know where the steppingstones are in the middle and where the dry land is on the other side before you take your first step.
  • The most certain death is not trying at all.
  • You can never know what’s really coming next, you can only stick to your principles and keep moving forward.
  • Don’t be afraid to stand in the middle of a busy intersection, just know where your escape routes are.
  • Life always gives you options. Sometimes there’s only one option, but it is still an option. It’s always a choice. Which options you have in front of you has a lot to do with what you’ve done before, but sometimes it’s just the way the game is designed and you have no control over it.
  • Don’t blame the person driving the car when they hit you if you stepped out right in front of them.
  • You usually can’t go back and redo the last several steps of your life, you just have to keep moving forward and hope that a pathway opens up for you.
